1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow sites to remember preferences or collect statistical information about browsing.
Not all tracking technologies use cookies. Some analytics tools operate without setting cookies in the user's browser.
2. Cookies and Technologies We Use
_ga (Google Analytics): third-party cookie, analytics, duration 2 years. Distinguishes unique users by assigning a random identifier. Only activated if you accept analytics cookies.
_ga_* (Google Analytics): third-party cookie, analytics, duration 2 years. Maintains session state. Only activated if you accept analytics cookies.
rabtine_cookie_consent (localStorage): first-party storage, technical/necessary, persistent. Stores your cookie consent preferences so you are not asked again on each visit.
Vercel Web Analytics: cookieless third-party technology, analytics, no duration (no cookies stored). Sends anonymous page events to the server without identifying the user or setting cookies. Does not require cookie consent.
3. Legal Basis
Necessary cookies (rabtine_cookie_consent): based on the controller's legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to remember the user's consent preferences.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): based on user consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 22.2 LSSI-CE). Only activated when the user expressly accepts analytics cookies through the cookie banner.
Cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics): based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) as it does not set cookies or identify individual users.
4. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences
You can change your consent at any time using the "Manage cookies" link in the footer of this website.
You can also configure your browser to block or delete cookies. Here is how to do it in the most common browsers: Chrome (chrome://settings/cookies), Firefox (about:preferences#privacy), Safari (Preferences > Privacy), Edge (edge://settings/privacy).
Please note that blocking all cookies may affect the proper functioning of some websites.
5. Mobile Application
The Rabtine mobile application does not use cookies. In-app analytics are performed via PostHog SDK, require prior user consent, and are governed by our Privacy Policy (section 4).
